I ♥ Paris...

We took a cab from our apartment in Rome to Airport Ciampino in the afternoon and we arrived in France a few hours later. Now there are four of us, Lamont has to go back to London to work.

We took the airport bus which took us to Denfert Rochereau, a very nice residential suburb.

Nice apartments and hotel at Denfert Rochereau. These are the landmarks as you exit from the underground Metro.

The apartment May-N booked is inside this building, it is not as big as the one in Rome but cosy for the four of us :)

There are nice shops just round the corner of our place! I just love their apartments! Take a look at these pictures, do you not love them too? They are very expensive though, how about a million € and up?
There are no shortage of food here either!

The vast selection of seafood look inviting until we check the prices, hee hee. That cooked shrimps was priced at ...
€9.80 per 100 gm! Even at the weakening Euro, that is a whopping NZ$18.00 (RM41.00) per 100 gm of shrimps! Back in New Zealand we complained when cooked shrimps reached NZ$35.00 a Kg but in Paris, they think NZ$180.00 per Kg of 80% none eatable shells are OK? ;) How much do these Parisians earned?

We ended up having our first dinner in a French restaurant, that cost us €140.00 for a so-so meal.
The second night we decided to cook rice our self and try out one of the Chinese take away shop at our area.
We took away three small boxes of "scoop scoop" which cost us €28.00 (NZ$52.00).

So if you decide to spend a few days at this romantic city, make sure you bring plenty of €€€€ or a gold credit card. :)

The weather forecast said it is gonna be fine the next day, we will visit Champs-Élysées!

You have to be in Paris a while before you know where to go for food. I was lucky because Antonia had lived there for 5 years. There are lots of great places scattered throughout Paris. You can eat like a king for very little if you know where to go.
